Full Stop Australia is a not-for-profit organisation, operating nationally, but based in Sydney. Our mission is to put a full stop to sexual, domestic, and family violence and to support those who have been impacted by violence and abuse. We operate the NSW Sexual Violence Helpline and a range of specialist Redress and domestic violence counselling services. Full Stop Australia also offers best-practice training and professional services to support safe and respectful workplaces, and advocate for changes to laws, policies, and practices to better prevent and respond to sexual, domestic, and family violence.
About the Role:
The Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Redress Specialist is a part time position working a minimum of six shifts across a fortnight. You will be part of the Full Stop Australia’s National Sexual Abuse and Redress Support Service Team providing culturally responsive support to First Nations Applicants, combining cultural expertise with trauma-informed practice to ensure culturally safe service delivery. Staff work within a supportive team structure that strives for the maintenance of a culturally responsive workplace.
Full Stop Australia provides regular clinical supervision and professional development.

About You:
You will be someone who operates with the highest levels of professionalism and ethical behaviour. You will have knowledge of the National Redress Scheme for Institutional Child Sexual Abuse Act 2018 and be confident to exercise initiative and judgement in service delivery.
You will also have extensive knowledge, skills, and experience in the following areas:
• Commitment to the provision of excellence in client service provision.
• Ability to provide trauma-informed intake, assessment, and case management for clients eligible for engagement with the National Redress Scheme.
• Knowledge of the causes and consequences of sexual assault, family and domestic violence.
• Ability to build relationships with external service providers and report on opportunities for mutually beneficial partnerships that progress Full Stop Australia toward its objectives.
Your qualifications and experience will include:
• A relevant community services qualification or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander communities.
• Understanding of intergenerational trauma impacts in First Nations contexts.
• Knowledge of cultural healing practices and contemporary support frameworks.
• Superior emotional competence when operating in a high demand trauma environment.

Salary: This position has been classified as Level 5 under the Social, Community, Home, and Disability Services (SCHADS) Award.
Contract: This is a part time contract position until 30 June 2026.
Full Stop Australia offers a hybrid model of working, with the option to work part of your hours from home (where applicable).
